6 Apps I absolutely couldn’t live without as a digital product creator

As a digital product creator, it’s essential to have programs that help streamline the process of creating digital products. Here are the top 6 sites that I couldn’t live without, and have helped my business grow and thrive.

Canva

Canva is a free online graphic design platform that has made it easy for me to create professional-looking graphics for my products. I use Canva for everything, really. Etsy listings, instagram posts, product mockups, business cards, thank you cards, printables, and so much more. Makes me wonder how I got by before Canva was around 🤔. They do have a paid subscription plan, which i highly recommend - you have access to more features such as fonts, graphics, and the ability to save your files in more formats.

Pinterest

Pinterest is an amazing platform for promoting digital products. You’ll want to find group boards to post your products so that you can get your designs in front of so many more people. Pinterest = free advertising. Do make sure your posts are visually-appealing since Pinterest is a visual platform, and good photos are what will draw potential customers in.

Adobe Illustrator

Adobe Illustrator is a powerful vector graphics editor that I use to create high-quality images for my digital products. Illustrator is where I create all digital designs to sell. You can also create designs to sell in Canva, but I personally like the realm of high-level editing features in Illustrator. There is a monthly fee which of course I was hesitant to pay initially, but it has more than paid for itself month after month.

Creative Fabrica

Creative Fabrica* (!!!) is a marketplace I use to find high-quality digital assets, such as fonts, graphics, and templates. Just trust me on this one - get the yearly membership. I put it off for so long, buying fonts as needed, but that adds up QUICK. Get the membership, y’all. Full access to all fonts and graphics. I high-key have a font addiction, and Creative Fabrica gives you access to each and every font under their subscription. Elevate the vibe and look of your digital products with elements from Creative Fabrica - you won’t regret it.

Instagram

Let’s set the record straight - you can sell on Instagram. Insta is very much still alive and thriving. So is TT, and we’ll hop on there one day. But both can bring in traffic to your shop, especially with consistent promotion and providing valuable content to your target audience. Facebook Groups are also an amazing way to connect with potential customers, build a community, and promote your products too. With instagram, I’m able to share behind the scenes content, tips, and images/videos of myself and customers putting the products to use.

E-Rank

Product research is not an option, it is an ESSENTIAL to finding products that people actually want to buy. Before you spend time bringing your brilliant idea to fruition, research it to make sure there is demand for the product. This is one of the most important things you’ll need to do to succeed and stay relevant. Once you’ve validated that your idea is in demand, work on creating a high-quality product.

These are just a few of the websites that have helped me grow as a digital product creator. If you're looking to start or grow your own digital product business, I encourage you to check them out.

Wherever you are in your digital product creator journey, keep going. Focus on connecting with your current community, engaging with customers and providing them with valuable content. Provide excellent customer service, continue creating high-quality products. You can do this - it’s a journey, not a marathon.
